Like the Short Sword, the Broad Sword is another sword that falls a little short when it comes to length. Players need to get a little closer to get some hits in, but the damage is more than the Short Sword has to offer. Players will find that they can use the Broad Sword for almost any build as well. Players who participate in battle when invaded or who enjoy invading other worlds will like the upper hand in combat.

Retooling and improving animations can be a tricky prospect, especially for a game like Demon’s Souls where players enjoy the specific way that combat feels. Thankfully Bluepoint Games was able to update these animations without them drastically affected the feel or cadence of combat in a detrimental way. They knew that they were in charge of bringing the game into 2020 and not changing the fundamental things that made Demon’s Souls the cult hit that it was back on the PS3 when it was released in 2009.
Shifting the world tendency to black is great if you wish to farm souls to level up your characters. Anyone who likes the more recent FromSoftware games owes it to themselves to dive into this earlier release, and even those who have already experienced Demon’s Souls could benefit from jumping back into it. The Blue-Eyed Knights drop a great weapon for the beginning of the game, the claymore. This strength weapon requires a good amount of levels to use, but it is well worth it. It is also worth the inevitable grind for players who are seeking to use it.
